The BANKILY product is the mobile banking product of the Banque Populaire de Mauritanie.

With a banking rate of around 18%, the Banque Populaire de Mauritanie is turning to Mobile Banking to encourage financial inclusion in Mauritania. The introduction of this mobile product supports the measures undertaken by the Central Bank in the framework of demonetization and modernization of payment methods. The BPM's Mobile Banking has been designed and developed by an expert and leading company in the international market.

Bankily, a registered trademark, inspires actions such as "banking" money, "sending" money, or paying with a mobile phone, smartphone, or basic phone. The product is accessible through the BANKILY application developed by the Banque Populaire de Mauritanie or through the USSD codes of partner operators. The Bankily product offers the possibility to open and manage a bank account via a mobile phone. It provides access to other features such as money transfer, merchant payment, payment of electricity, water or internet bills, and instant mobile credit top-up. The aim of the product is to make it accessible for any Mauritanian resident to open a bank account regardless of their geographical location and purchasing power.

The Bankily network is made up of agents representing the Bankily brand through the opening of physical points aimed at managing instant deposits, withdrawals, money transfers, and receipts. A network of Bankily agencies is being established in the wilayas of the country to recruit a number of agents in the targeted geographical area.

As part of merchant payments via the Bankily product, a significant network of merchants offering goods and services will make Bankily payment methods available to their customers within their stores. These merchants become approved by the Bankily brand.

The Bankily application is downloadable on Apple Store and Play Store.
